Discord Data

Gamenight Bot collects the following information from Discord:

• User ID, username, and discriminator
• Server (guild) information
• Messages and interactions with the bot

Steam Account Data

When you voluntarily link your Steam account, we collect:

• Steam ID (Steam64 ID)
• Steam display name
• Public Steam profile information
• Game library and owned games
• Friend list (to detect family sharing)
• Current activity and gameplay status

Scheduled Events

For game night scheduling, we store:

• Event details (name, description, time)
• RSVP responses
• Notification preferences

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide the bot's features and functionality
• Link Discord and Steam accounts for cross-platform features
• Display game libraries and shared games
• Send scheduled event notifications
• Improve the bot's performance and features

3. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored locally in a SQLite database on secure servers. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted sessions for OAuth authentication
• Secure token-based authentication
• Access controls and regular security updates

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information may be accessed by:

• Steam: Public profile data when linking accounts (via Steam's OAuth)
• Server Members: Your Steam profile and game library are visible to other members in servers where you use the bot

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: View what data we have about you using /mysteam command
• Delete: Unlink your Steam account using /unlinksteam command
• Opt-out: Leave any server using the bot to stop data collection from that server

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services. Steam account links remain until you unlink them. Scheduled events and associated data are deleted when the event concludes or when you leave the server.

7. Children's Privacy

This service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via in-bot announcements.
